Good Evening Roosters

Round 3 has seen all of our teams play great games. Both of our under 9 sides are improving at a phenomenal rate. Our under 10 side is really coming together whilst our under 11 and 13 teams are playing some amazing football. Keep it going Roosters! Once again a massive thanks to all of you who helped out with volunteer roles on Sunday. Superstars! Every one of you.

Night Games

As some of you might be aware, we have confirmed the first of what he hope will be 3 Friday night games for our under 9 teams this year. The first team to taste the Friday night lights will be the under 9 blues. They will tackle Newport Power on Friday June 16 at 6:30 pm. This should be a fantastic night for our juniors and a huge crowd should be on hand to watch the game at the conclusion of Friday night training. We encourage all families to stick around after training to cheer our young Roosters on.

Fundraising Chocolates

Running the juniors takes a fair bit of coin. Once again this year we ask that you take a box of chocolates to sell at your workplace or to family and friends. These chocolates have helped raise a lot of money for the juniors in previous seasons which goes a long way to help pay for new equipment and jumpers etc. We still have roughly 50 boxes left and these will be available at training tomorrow night. If you haven’t already grabbed one, please do and help out the juniors.

Photos

A massive thanks to those of you who have been posting action pics of our kids on the Facebook page and to this email account. Keep them coming in. The more photos we get, the better!

We also expect to be able to inform you of the date of this season’s team photos in next week’s newsletter. Stay tuned for that.

Match Reports

You can now find these on our website. We are missing one from the under 9 blue game on Sunday and will post it as soon as we have it. If you would like to help out by writing a match report for your child’s game, please let their coach or team manager know.

This Weeks Games

This week both of our under 9 teams will be playing at home. The Reds kick things off in the early game with the Blues to follow them.

Our mighty under 10 side will be playing PEGS at PEGS. This one will kick off at 8:50.

The 11s and 13s will be playing at Kings Park Reserve in St. Albans. The 11s get the 8:50 slot with the 13s to follow at 10:20.

For further info on games and venues, please check the fixtures on our junior’s page.

Once again we ask that you have your children report to their team manager at least 50 minutes before their game is to start. If you can’t play this week, please let your team managers know.

Friday Night Canteen

Our canteen will once again be open for folks to grab a bite to eat at the completion of training this week.  The bar will also be open, so grab a bite and a drink and get to know your fellow Rooster parents.

Registration Fees

We are still awaiting payment of club fees for a few households. Those of you who have applied for All Aboard access, this doesn’t affect you. Some of those who received Active Maribyrnong grants are still to finalise your remaining fees. Please do this ASAP. As mentioned in previous emails, failure to do this will result in your child not playing until this is done. Please refer to the previous email you received from me regarding this to finalise your payment.

That’s about it for this week.

Good luck to all on Sunday and we hope to see you all tomorrow night
